"Yea, I guess I'm a... guard type thing. I'll tell our leader if it's really that important." Sunday bit her tongue and shook her head slightly. "Sorry, so what is it?"

"There was a dog that hurt a member of your pack. Big, red, sharp teeth.  His name was Clay." Said Folli, wondering if the dog in front of her might have encountered Clay. "You guys won't have to worry about him anymore. He's dead."

Sunday started, taking a jerky step away from the poodle. "W-what? How do you-" Then she remembered what she told the Circle's pack leader about looking for him. Surely, Sencha must have passed such information to her subordinates. "H-how are you so certain it was him? Are you s-sure he's dead?" Her heart beat irraticly in her chest and a bit of her neck fur fluffed up.

"I wasn't sure at first, because he was using a different name, but in the end, there was no doubt. He even began refering to himself as Clay. And I know he's dead, I helped take him down."  Replied Folli, noting the dogs strong reaction to the news. "I hope this news puts you and your pack at ease..."

The little spaniel blinked rapidly and crouched down slightly. "I-it does. It does... yea... Clay is dead..." Sunday shook herself to get rid of her aggressive posture. "If you... don't mind, how did he die? F-for my pack leader, to have a better report, ya know?"

"Alright, I can tell you the whole thing since I was there. Clay must have been let into our territory by a naive packmember. I caught them sneaking around and confronted them. Another one of our members showed up and shortly after we got into a fight. He... killed the one who had mistakenly let him in. After the two of us left were able to bite his neck until he stopped breathing." Answered Folli. "He's gone for good. Deader then the ancient beasts who built this city."

Sunday breathed deeply, but couldn't hide the satisfied snarl pulling at the edges of her mouth. "Clay is dead. But I didn't..." The spaniel huffed to regain herself and looked the poodle in the eye. "Thank you, I'll- Wait, can you tell something to your leader too?"

"Oh, sure. And who should I tell Sencha the message is adressed from?" Replied Folli, as she looked down at the dogs feet to avoid eye contact.

Chuckling under her breath, Sunday replied. "Sunny, the trouble-maker, I suppose. Could you tell her that... The Brotherhood is glad he's gone and... are eternally grateful. Yea, that'll do."

"Yes, of course, Sunny." Said Folli, wagging her tail slightly. She began turning back towards the river, her fur starting to recoil once again. "I will let her know."

The spaniel felt her legs start to slightly tremble as the poodle ambled away. "W-wait! Y-you're... you're sure he's dead. Clay is dead, but... he hurt a lot of good dogs. I'm sorry he hurt one of yours."

"Yeah...me too. It's the Circles job to deal with these threats. It's a dangerous job, but the one who was killed, she was, so innocent and I couldn't protect her. And I'm sorry that Clay hurt... your entire pack. I'm sure it's been tough for all of you." Said Folli.

Turning around to hide her reddening eyes, Sunday started back off into the forest. "Stay safe and thanks for the message. I'll go pass it along now." She broke off into a run before she could catch if the poodle replied. Her heart was pounding, her head felt light, and everything grew murky as uncontrollable tears rolled down her face. She was all at once freed and hurt. Clay was gone for good, but her desire for bloody revenge flared in her chest. Certainly he died the painful death he deserved, but Sunday had no part in it. His downfall was no product of hers. Then Bishop and long gone Duke could be heard in the back of her mind as she slowed down to rest her weight against a tree trunk.

"You're alive..." She panted, a faint smile pulling across her wet cheeks. "And that's the best revenge..."
