The Birdkeeper

Every villain has a hobby in his spare time. At the end of a day of nicking peoples' beloved treasures, the Thief likes to wind down with some quality time with his birdies. So remember kids, if you want to be a proper criminal mastermind, find a hobby to keep you busy between sending legions of the undead upon the city you rule with an iron fist.

How I portray the corvid messengers

For some reason I imagined the raven being The Thief's favorite and the raven being really proud of that, trying extra hard to make his master happy and such. Kind of prideful and arrogant and willing to get the job by any means necessary to prove his position as the master's favorite.

The magpie is fascinated with The Thief's shiny bell (yes, I know magpies being attracted to and stealing shiny things is a myth, but it works here~) and tries to get as close to it as possible even though it knows it'll probably never get it. I imagine the magpie might snag a shiny thing or two on occasion from the competitors for lulz XD

And I have the crow being sort of jealous of the raven getting a lot of The Thief's attention and is prone to sulking and trying to outdo the raven on missions in order to be worthy in its master's eyes. A kind of ignored middle child just wanting daddy's approval = D

These are simply my interpretation of the bird NPCs. You don't have to use any of my ideas for them, but if you want to, feel free~
